Workplace Wellbeing

The simple definition of Wellbeing can be described as judging life positively and feeling good, which includes maintaining good physical health too.

Difference between wellness and wellbeing.

Your work life has a substantial effect on your wellbeing. Feeling fulfilled at work creates a positive mindset. Research has shown that a good working environment has a beneficial impact on employee’s wellbeing and thus reduces absenteeism and presenteeism.

The Top three stress related absences in the workplace are triggered by:

  • Workloads 62%

  • Management Style 43%

  • Relationships at work 30%

Many of these issues have been high-lighted during my coaching sessions.

Individual Wellbeing

For individuals  I believe that if you do not achieve your full potential at work the feeling of disappointment or resentment  can have great personal  consequences which can lead to poor self-esteem, loss of confidence, and possible thoughts of failure. Left unresolved can affect a person’s  wellbeing

For employers, small acts of caring and recognition can have an enormous impact on company’s morale. I encourage businesses to:

  • Show that you value your people

  • Show your employees that you care about their wellbeing

  • Give your teams permission to look after their own wellbeing

For a simple, cost effective wellbeing tool review my ‘Pyramid Prompts for the Workplace’©™

Pyramid Prompts

Pyramid Prompts are designed to be a desktop tool to prompt small daily behavioural changes for a healthier mind and wellbeing in the workplace.

Pyramid Prompts are offered as a gift from the company to each employee, including the senior managers and executives.

Why Give Pyramid Prompts

  • First steps to wellbeing in the workplace is not rocket science. Pressures of work, quantity of tasks and deadlines, has unintended consequences leading us into bad habits. These habits are not conducive to good mental health nor do they induce high individual performance

With the support of the company, the Pyramid Prompts encourages everyone to begin to take small steps towards their own wellbeing,

This begins with everyone adopting good, easy, personal daily habits to:

    • increase performance with morning motivation

    • refresh the mind through lunchtime nourishment

    • wind-down for evening contentment

Cathy helped me to help myself see the wood for the trees. Her non-judgemental and caring approach allowed me to work through my professional and personal concerns and end up at a good position. I recommend Cathy without reservation.
